Making Fancy Basic: We didn't get all dressed up this year but it hasn't stopped our desire to

I am sure you’ve seen it. I mean we certainly have: sequins with denim, high heels with t-shirts. So we didn’t get the extravagant parties this year to show off our fabulous sense of style or the real red carpet events that make us swoon or gasp because of style choices. What we did get was a lot of creativity on social media that still inspired great fashion.

So how can we bring that home for those of us that haven’t quite mastered Reels and aren’t even signed up to Tik Tok. Well we need to make fancy basic.

Running to the mall never looked so good with your t-shirt that has so many ruffles any bridal party would be jealous. How about going to the grocery store in your ripped denim jeans that just happen to have details of sequins on the sides.

A sexy shoe will ALSO dress up a look. It can be so easy. Even with joggers or sweats.

Here are 3 tips to make any casual look feel and look amazing, even if you are staying in or just running errands.

1) Add Lipstick:

Adding lipstick to day makeup or no makeup will jazz up any look. Red is a perfect attention grabber. You can also try a great hot pink. Simply add your favorite jeans, cute shoes a really basic top and you’re all set.

2) Jewelry Come Through:

A simple tank dress, a jacket of some kind and a cute boot (you choose based on your style but a moto boot, thigh high or ankle will all work) . NOW add the thing...you know that faux diamond earring you’ve been saving for a special occasion or the sparkly necklace that makes you swoon. You are all set.

3) Add a luxe fabric somewhere:

We already kinda gave you some suggestions for this one. A sequins tank top with denim, thigh high flat boots and an oversized winter coat will definitely make you look stylish. How about vegan leather paper bag pants, a moto or ankle boot and your favorite top (this actually won’t matter as long as you can see the waist of the pants). Go ahead, run to target and to meet a friend for coffee (I think we can still do that here), you'll look great.
